Grand Historical And Gastronomical Turkey Tour

Day 1 Arrival To Istanbul.: Transfer To Hotel. Check In & Overnight In Istanbul.

We arrive in the greatest city of Turkey and transfer to our hotel in historical center, Sultanahmet district. After check in to hotel, tour guide will orientate you about half an hour about itinerary and the city. As arrival times may vary, we have no programme for today. We can explore the town on our own or simply relax in our hotel.

Day 2 Istanbul.: Istanbul Historical & Gastro Tour. Overnight In Istanbul.

Today, we start our day by visiting the ancient Roman Hippodrome, where was the heart of political and sporting life. 3500 years old Egyptian Obelisk, Serpent Pillar, The Walled Obelisk and The German Fountain are the monuments that we will see in this ancient circus. Our next stop is legendary Blue Mosque, renowned for its 6 minarets and 20.000 blue İznik tiles. Then we will visit Hagia Sophia. Hagia Sophia was the largest church of Christianity for a millenium. It became a mosque with conquest of Contantinople in 15th cc. and today it is the most visited museum in Turkey.

For our lunch, we will try the world-famous Turkish kebabs today. You will be amazed with the taste of a meter long kebabs and chicken in salt.

After lunch, we will visit Topkapi Palace, house of Ottoman sultans for 400 years. Today Topkapi Palace is one of the richest museums in the world.

After our long day of exploring the old city, we get back to our hotel. Dinner is on our own. We can try Galata Bridge, famous for its fish restaurants.

Day 3 Istanbul.: Istanbul Nature, History & Gastro Tour. Overnight In Istanbul.

After our breakfast, let’s have our coffees in our yacht! We start our day with a private yacht cruise in Bosphorus, the beautiful strait that divides Asia and Europe. After that, we will visit Dolmabahçe Palace on Bosphorus shore. Our palace visit is followed by a walk in İstiklal Street. This street starts from Taksim Square and it is the center of the living city with millions of people walking up and down all day.

We are going to have our lunch in a very old, traditional restaurant famous for its Ottoman palace cuisine.

After lunch, next stop will be Chora Church/Museum. This museum is known for its frescoes covering all of interior walls. The frescoes tells us about the roots of Christendom. Nearby Chora, we will walk by the city walls dating back to 400 AD. These city walls protected İstanbul from different sieges more than 20 times in its history.

After our walk, we go back to our hotel. Dinner is on our own.

Day 4 Istanbul To Gallipoli.: Rememberence of Gallipoli Tour & Gastro. Overnight In Canakkale.

Today we have an early departure to Gallipoli where the first world war took place. After 2 hours driving we have a stop for breakfast alongside the way. After breakfast another two and half hours driving and arrive at the War Museum Kabatepe following with the beach cemetry, Anzac cove, dawn service area.

We stop for a light lunch on campaign. Today we try the delicious Gözleme with Turkish tea.

After lunch continue the tour with Lone Pine, trenches, a Turkish cemetery, the nek and the Chunuk Bair.

Then we get a short car ferry on Dardenells arrive at our hotel in Çanakkale.

Day 5 Canakkale To Troy.: Ancint Troy Tour & Having Pide in the lunch. Overnight In Kusadasi.

Leaving this morning, we travel to Troy once believed to exist only in Homer’s epic poem until the present site was discovered in the 1870s. After touring here in Troy we drive to South heading to Pergamon, a major power in the 3rd and 2nd centuries BCE, with a wealth of Hellenistic ruins. Then we continue on to Kuşadası. Today there will be a light lunch again. We will try the Turkish pide which is called Lahmacun in local language.

Day 6 Kusadasi To Ephesus.: Ancint Ephesus Tour & Aegan Cuisine in the lunch. Overnight In Kusadasi.

Few ancient sites com¬pare to Ephesus, the world’s best-preserved class¬ical city which we explore today. Dating to at least 1300 BCE, Ephesus was Asia Minor’s largest metro¬polis and principal port. Our tour includes the Terrace Houses, the recently restored “houses of the rich,” with their outstanding mosaic floors and frescoed walls. Then we enjoy lunch in the rustic village of Sirince. (Bizim ev Hanımeli Restaurant) where we will try traditional Aegan Cuisine.

Then we visit st. John's Basilica, Virgin Mary house.

Day 7 Kusadasi to Aphrodisias.: Aphrodisias and Pamukkale Tour. Overnight in Pamukkale.

Today we are heading to Afrodisias and experience a living archeaological site. After touring here we will have a Lunch at a local restaurant here.We will try famous Geyre meatbol. Then we are heading to Pamukkale, where we'll get oriented to its spectacularly calcified cliffs and the impressive ruins of Hierapolis, where ancient Greeks and Romans considered the thermal springs sacred. During your free time you'll even have a chance to take a quick dip in a natural spring pool amid the remains of Roman colomns.

Day 8 Pamukkale To Cappadocia Via Konya.: Konya And Mevlana Museum Tour. Overnight in Cappadocia.

Today after an early breakfast we are heading to Cappadocia. via Konya A short visit to Mevlana Museum where the whirling Dervishes originate. After Museum we are having one of the best lunch in local restaurant of Konya. ( etli ekmek, tirit). After lunch heading to Cappadocia. Arrive at our Cave hotel. Rest and getting ready for an early wake up for a unique and mamorable Baloon.

Day 9 Cappadocia.: North Cappadocia Tour. Overnight in Cappadocia.

Coming from Baloon we will have our breakfast and then head to North Cappadocia tour which covers Göreme open air Museum, Paşabağ Monks Valley, Devrent Valley. Then we will visit Avanos where is known with its pottery workshops thousands of years. We will visit world known pottery man Chez Galip. Have some light lunch and visit panoramic stops to see these otherworldly chimneys. Back to hotel getting ready for a Turkish Night where you will watch Belly dancer and different regional dances. Extra 85 Euros.

Day 10 Cappadocia.: South Cappadocia Tour. Overnight in Cappadocia.

Today we are heading to South Cappadocia tour which covers Ihlara Valley which is one of the biggest gourge in the world. Hike throug the valley You will get lost in the beatiful rock carved chapels with thousand years old frescoes. After three and half km hiking we will sit at the Bungalows on the river and have our traditional lunch. After lunch we will visit a Caravansay which is carved in the biggest chimney of Cappadocia which is known as Selim'e village. Then we will head to an ubderground city which once used a temporarily shelter when danger approached. The Derinkuyu underground city is the biggest in Cappadocia.

Day 11 Cappadocia To Ankara.: Capital City Tour of Turkey. Overnight in Safranbolu.

Today after breakfast we are heading to Turkey's Capital Ankara. On arrival we will visit Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's mouselum who was the founder of modern Turkey. Having lunch at Hacı Arif who is known with his different Kebap Dishes. After lunch we will visitthe world-class Anatolian Civilizations Museum, and marvel at its collection of treasures from Turkey's pre-Roman civilizations. Then we are heading to Safranbolu. Stay over in Kadıoğlu konakları.

Day 12 Safranbolu To Istanbul Via.: Safranbolu Tour. Overnight in Istanbul.

Today after breakfast we are touring at the beatiful narrow streets of Safranbolu with looking at these beatiful world heritage houses. And having our lunch in a local Restaurant try Tandır Lamb and Şehzade Salad. After lunch drive four and half hours to İstanbul. Check in hotel in İstanbul.

Day 13 Istanbul.: Free day in Istanbul. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 14 Istanbul.: Free day in Istanbul. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 15 Departure From Istanbul.: Transfer to Airport. The end of the package.
